Para fomentar a produção sustentável de baixo carbono, o Governo de Rondônia, por meio da Secretaria de Estado do Desenvolvimento Ambiental – Sedam estará implementando o Projeto Rural Sustentável, lançado na 27ª Conferência das Nações Unidas sobre Mudanças Climáticas, a COP-27, que está acontecendo em Sharm el-Sheikh, Egito. O programa voltado ao incentivo à agricultura de baixa emissão de carbono será executado em três estados brasileiros. O evento aconteceu na última sexta-feira (11), dentro do miniauditório do Hub do Consórcio da Amazônia Legal, através do Painel “Fundamentos para Economia Verde e Agricultura de Baixo Carbono”. O painel foi transmitido na última sexta feira (11), às 15h15 (horário local do Egito), ao vivo pelo canal do Consórcio Amazônia Legal, no YouTube ( https://youtube.com/c/Cons%C3%B3rcioAmaz%C3%B4niaLegal )
O Projeto Rural Sustentável – Amazônia (PRS-Amazônia), tem por objetivo incentivar projetos sustentáveis, voltados à produção de baixa emissão para dar escala à agropecuária de baixa emissão de carbono, para dessa forma, alavancar os investimentos verdes nos setores rural e ambiental, de seis cadeias produtivas sustentáveis: açaí, cacau, castanha-do-Brasil, pirarucu (de manejo); peixes redondos e café.
Com o apoio do Reino Unido, o projeto será implantado pelo Instituto Brasileiro de Desenvolvimento Sustentável – IBAS e acompanhado pelo Banco Interamericano de Desenvolvimento – BID. Dentro da estratégia de planejamento, a ideia é realizar o aporte para produtores rurais, com a capacitação e assistência técnica à produção, de forma sustentável. Além do investimento dos produtores rurais, o PRS vai buscar certificar os produtos fabricados, desde o cultivo ou extração até a sua comercialização, e fortalecer as entidades socioprodutivas, ao longo dos próximos cinco anos.
Nesta proposta, a Sedam vem atuando na elaboração de projetos e estruturas financeiras que viabilizem o crédito para projetos de restauração, como o projeto de Redd+ e o Paisagens Sustentáveis da Amazônia. A iniciativa busca contribuir com as metas ambientais, trazendo benefícios para os produtores, e sustentabilidade por meio da implementação de tecnologias de baixa emissão de carbono.
Durante o evento, o secretário da Sedam, Marco Antonio Lagos, ressaltou a importância da implementação deste projeto para o desenvolvimento da agricultura familiar em Rondônia, “estamos fortalecendo a produção sustentável no nosso Estado, pensando em melhorias aos nossos produtores, como também o desenvolvimento da floresta e sua preservação. Ambos devem andar juntos”, explicou o secretário durante o lançamento.
Os produtores receberão apoio técnico e financeiro para adotar tecnologias agropecuárias com baixa emissão de carbono e promover a restauração florestal e práticas sustentáveis com baixa emissão de carbono, além de apoio financeiro à assistência técnica. O projeto também promoverá a qualificação técnica aos produtores que adotarem essas medidas, com a promoção de tecnologias de baixa emissão de carbono, a fim de melhorar o acesso para a assistência técnica, à capacitação e ao crédito.
CADEIAS PRODUTIVAS
O Projeto Rural Sustentável – Amazônia atuará em seis cadeias produtivas priorizadas de produtos amazônicos, com ações voltadas ao fortalecimento dessas cadeias produtivas. Em Rondônia, o projeto terá como proposta alavancar a produção rural do café e peixe. Um exemplo é o Manejo do Pirarucu.
O projeto apresentado durante a COP-27 no painel “Políticas e instrumentos para uma Economia Verde no Estado de Rondônia”, trata sobre o programa de assistência às famílias moradoras na Reserva Extrativista Rio Cautário à pesca de pirarucu. O programa piloto, iniciado em junho de 2022 na Reserva Extrativista (Resex) do Rio Cautário, no município de Costa Marques, com a participação da Aguapé Associação dos Seringueiros do Vale do Guaporé, resultou em 2,600 toneladas de peixe e rendeu R$ 2 mil para cada uma das dez famílias, ao final de dez dias de pesca.
Estiveram presentes no lançamento, o secretário do Meio Ambiente de Rondônia, Marco Antônio Lagos; o secretário de Planejamento do Amapá, Eduardo Tavares; o secretário de Inovação, Desenvolvimento Sustentável e Irrigação do Ministério da Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento, Cléber Soares; Esperanza Gonzales, do Banco Interamericano de Desenvolvimento – BID; Alejandro Muñoz, do IBAS (Fórum de Diálogo Índia-Brasil-África do Sul), e Eugênio Pantoja, do Instituto de Pesquisa Ambiental da Amazônia – IPAM.
